50 Cute "Love Is" Comics by Kim Casali

"Love is..." is a famous comic strip created by New Zealand artist Kim Grove in the late 1960s. These ubber cute series  began as a series of little love notes that Kim Grove drew for her future husband, Roberto Casali. Kim Casali died in June 1997. Since then, her son Stefano Casali has maintained the strip although it is always shown as "by Kim Casali" and signed "Kim" instead of Stefano.

Kim's three sons have launched a new website as a revival to their parents' legacy of love.

Love Is... has been translated in many languages and they continue to inspire many people around the globe.

Enjoy these small tokens of love!

  2. My mother in-law was a huge fan of Kim Casali's "Love is" comic. She adored the characters from a young age because her mother clipped them from every paper and posted them on the refrigerator claiming they looked just like her and her husband. My mother in-law's mother has recently passed away from breast cancer, and upon clearing out her house my mother in-law was very upset to find her favorite panel missing from the collection. The panel, from what she described to me, was the two characters and two children stating something along the lines of "Love is...Loving each other's children like they were your own". It would mean the world to her to have even a copy of this panel to see again. I cannot seem to find it anywhere and I would appreciate any help. Thank you so much, Happy Holidays!
